Cihuatan Cinabrio 12 Year Old rum – Cihuatan means ‘the land beside the sleeping woman,’ referring to the beautiful El Salvador valley where this sugarcane rum is made. Another top addition to the Cihuatán range of El Salvador rums, all of which are inspired by Mayan legends, Cinabrio is a reference to the colour red, which was historically made used the mineral cinnabar (also known as cinabrio), and was also regarded as a good omen. The rum has spent 12 years in American oak bourbon barrels, imparting creamy sweetness among richer, toasty notes.
